Former Residence of Song Qingling
A residential courtyard which surrounded by high walls can be found Houhai, close to Deshengmen. It used to be the residential courtyard for Song Qingling. If you walk along the hutong, then you will reach the former residence of Guo Muoruo. The high-wall surrounded had been the former residence for Song Qingling from year 1963 until May 29, 1981 when she finally passed away. Nowadays, the former residence has been renovated into a Memorial Museum of Song Qingling and officially opened to public. Once you enter the red entrance gate, a magnificent building which combines the western and Chinese architectural style will appear in front of you. The courtyard used to be the imperial courtyard for the father of Emperor Puyi, the last emperor of Qing Dynasty. Moreover, it was also the birth place for Emperor Puyi as well.
